Campaign Contributions for Jennings Mayor's Race
I always enjoy looking through a list of contributors for political races.
It conjures up all sorts of things for the imagination. It's obvious that some like the
political process and contribute across the board to everyone just to help out. Some
probably know themselves what it's like to run a campaign and they are more than happy to
help with at least 2 of their favorite candidates. You wonder if they had to donate to
their candidate and to keep the peace in the family they had to donate to the wife's
choice too or vice versa.
Then you notice those who give to all 3 campaigns and you wonder if they are just trying to be on the safe side. One thing about it when you contribute to all three candidates you get to go to a victory party no matter who wins. And, if your a party animal...that's the way to go. There are some of course who have motives and those are conjured up in one's mind also but I think all and all, the majority are those that are simply interested in the process and are trying to help out all the candidates, especially when you know all three candidates running.
I feel almost left out that nobody tried to get any money off of me. I can't believe they wouldn't want my money. What is it my money's not good enough? I'm hurt! Everybody tries to get money off of me. I have telemarketers calling me all the time trying to get money. Each trip to wal-mart yields yet another person or group of people trying to get money off of me. But political candidates never call on me. I'm hurt, that's all. At any rate here is the list as it was printed in the JDN. I have already conjured up all sorts of things in my mind about why these people were hit up for a donation, now let's sit back and watch for the next couple of years and see how things play out, if they play out at all. And of course the winner cannot turn their back on the contributors of their opponents, because who knows, next time they could be his/her contributors.
